The Harris Museum and Art Gallery is part of Preston City Council and is free to visitors.
If you are planning a visit to see our Grade I listed building, our collections of fine and decorative art, an exciting contemporary art show or learn about Preston's history please use the information in these pages to help make your visit a success. Monday – Saturday 10.00am - 5.00pm except Tuesday 11.00am - 5.00pm
Closed Sundays and Bank Holidays

Please note that we will be closed Good Friday, Easter Sunday and Bank Holiday Monday.

Admission is free.

ACCESS

If you need to park close to us you’ll find Blue Badge parking available in Jacson Street. There is a ramp at the museum entrance and you can borrow a wheelchair from us if you need to – just ask a Museum Assistant for help.

A lift to all floors (except the Egyptian Balcony) is available. An audio visual guide to the Egyptian Balcony is accessible on the second floor. Audio guides are available upon request at the Shop or the museum office.

We welcome guide and assistance dogs and an induction loop is fitted throughout the galleries. We have a ground floor accessible toilet and baby changing facilities.
