The Friends of the Harris are a group of enthusiastic supporters of the museum and gallery. They help the museum financially and by supporting other activities such as fundraising projects. Over the years, the Friends have made significant contributions towards the purchase and conservation of works of art, the refurbishment of displays, and the publication of a museum guidebook.

Some Friends are also Museum volunteers who assist in a wide variety of museum work, taking guided tours or helping behind the scenes, others sit on the Friends' committee to help organise Friends' events. Joining the Friends gives you the opportunity to get more involved with the Harris and its work.

There are currently around around 300 members of the Friends. You can help us to maintain and support the Harris Museum and Art Gallery by joining.
