Go 'behind the scenes' to explore how the Harris' costume and textile collection is cared for in our new exhibition on show now in the fashion & textile gallery. This exhibition also celebrates all the people who help - from local volunteers and students to researchers from far and wide.
Behind the Scenes is a great chance to see the variety of treasures we look after in the museum stores, from elegant ball gowns to funky platform shoes - on display in the gallery.
Find out about the work that goes on 'behind the scenes' at the museum and have your say on what projects the museum works on next.
Check out the what's on page for details of workshops, talks and tours to complement the exhibition.
Better still - find out how you can get involved in all these activities and even help to make them happen by making a donation to our charity, the Friends of the Harris.
Following a quilt study day held at the Harris by the Quilters Guild, some information came to light about the samplers in the Behind the Scenes exhibition following research by one of the attendees. Read the blog post about the Harris samplers.
