Displayed throughout the museum
12 October - 6 May 2014
Discover unusual pottery pairings of contemporary and traditional ceramics in the cafe and in cases throughout the museum that help you explore the potter's art in more detail.
This display marks the end of a five-year project with Gallery Oldham, and supported by the Heritage Lottery Fund, to collect 20th Century ceramics.
Two of a Kind starts in the cafe, moves up to the Ceramics & Glass Gallery, and finishes in the Fine Art galleries on the second floor.
The display features work by Walter Keeler, Kate Malone, Stephen Dixon, and Shigekazu Nagae and has been co-curated by Harris volunteers.
Many purchases have also been supported by the Art Fund, the DCMS/V&A Purchase Grant Fund and the Friends of the Harris.
