It's time again for our annual celebration of local creative talent. We're inviting Preston-based artists to show painting, photography, sculpture, ceramics, textiles and more. Many items are for sale and make unique presents.

See work by the next generation of artists. On display in the Museum Cafe is work by current students on the Contemporary Craft and Masters in Ceramics courses at the University of Central Lancashire (UCLan).
Marian Clayden: A Dyer's Journey Through Art and Fashion

From dyeing fabrics for costumes and hangings for touring productions of the musical Hair in 1970, to producing an atelier collection of hand-dyed garments and accessories under her own label from 1981-2005, this exhibition showcases Preston-born Marian Clayden’s unique and luxurious designs.

Making Waves: Art Inspired by the Sea

From stormy seas to tranquil sunny bays and busy harbours to shipwrecks, the beauty, drama and ever-changing nature of our seas has long fascinated artists.
Making Waves: Art Inspired by the Sea explores the challenges faced by generations of artists when capturing this transient and unpredictable subject matter on canvas, in watercolour, print, ceramic, and on film. The exhibition also considers our relationship with the sea, its attraction and our vulnerability against its changing moods.
Faye Spencer: Monstrous Body of Perpetual Research

Faye Spencer was one of the most promising graduates from UCLAN’s Fine Art course in 2013. Her interests are centred around a grotesque, absurd and unwieldy body of multidisciplinary research looking at the construction of nature and culture.

70 Years of Pauline at the Harris

A rare chance to see the yellow dress worn by Pauline in the famous portrait, plus other paintings of Pauline by her husband, Sir James Gunn that are owned by a private collector.
Matt Davies: Movies in 3D

Matt Davies’ is a Manchester based artist with a growing regional and national reputation. Movies in 3D is his first solo exhibition in a public gallery. Integral to his work is the reliance on existing images distributed through mass media, such as newspapers, online sources and tourist brochures. Collected from tangential research and his immediate surroundings, his paintings examine and interrogate notions of history and memory.
