About this Event
11:30am Introduction to Chinese martial arts: 5-step fist.

Developed over 1500 years ago, Kung Fu is a style of martial art which uses a broad range of self-defence techniques that rely on technique rather than physical strength. Over time these different combinations of strong, dance-like, fighting forms developed into a variety of styles that could also be used to train in self defence.

5-step consists of 5 stances put together in a way so that creates a flow. It's a basic Form, which most Kung Fu students will learn in the beginning - a combination of the 5 main stances which will teach you a foundation upon which all later forms are built.

For Martial Arts, the 5-Step Fist is for the kids under 8yrs, the Changquan Fist for those above 8 yrs.
